I thought I told you they exchanged computers for me, but I guess I didn't.Īs for the cd's, yes I did format them with DLA. After the third hard drive failed, they thought it was easier to just swap out the pc. The RW disks can't be recorded over, even when I format them. So why can't the +RW disks be recorded over? And does anybody have a preference of what DVDs work best with the 9100? I've used Memorex, Sony. I checked on what type of media to use with these drives, and they say +R. I can also burn data using a DVD+R or +RW disc, it's just that I can't use the RW disks over again, and it's getting very aggravating.

I've even erased anything that may have been on the disc, but when I use the disc to back up data using Sonic's Record Now Digital Media V7 burning software that came with my machine, the pc will spit out the DVD and say "this disk is full, please put in a blank DVD+R or +RW disk." Needless to say, I've wasted a lot of discs trying to use these ones over again. The problem I am having is that I am unable to record over a RW drive, and I can't figure it out. The top drive, D, is a Philips DVD Rom drive. I have a Dimension 9100 pc with 1GB Ram and 250GB hard drive.
